We have on one hand a political party (the republicans) who swear by the citizens freedom from big government interference; championing the right to possess & bear arms; & yet at the same time championing the governemnts' right to interfere in & legislate on the right of women to decide the fate of their own womb.
Then we have the democrats who champion the individual woman's right to her womb; turn around & legislate the pocketbook of tax payers, superimposing their priorities of taxing (punishing) the hardworking to feed & mollycoddle the lazy.
Foreign policy is even more arcane. We had a president who in his obsession to forward his morals, ended up sacrificing Iran to a bunch of fanatics & turning it from an ally to an implacable foe. We then had another, who invaded Iraq for monetary gains; eliminated the only secular regime in the middle east, while propping up Kuwait, who finances the fanatics. One president even stopped bin laden from being exterminated because intelligence indicated that a member of the Kuwait royal family was in the vicinity. Meanwhile Afghanistan festers, lives are lost & the fact that it was Pakistan all along that developed & exported weapons of mass destruction, not to forget the hordes of fanatics, has been given a convenient burial by both parties.
